I’m going to stop dumping things from my hard drive onto my blog now. Also, Alison and I leave for BUCLD in Boston tomorrow.

So the rechargeable batteries I bought to go with camera have lasted longer than the actual camera, which officially died in Boston last week but which I didn’t realized died in Boston last week until yesterday. I’m not sure why it died, but I’m guessing I probably got cookie dough in the motor.

So no pictures for a while, but I was slacking on that anyway.

I know I need to update my blog, but I’ve been busy, busy, busy and I have my priorities. I’m reasonably settled, but settling in is just the beginning. More on sermon podcasting, tubing battles, rapid word learning, and insect consumption coming maybe eventually.

New on the list of search strings used to bring people to my blog: celeste and emma. I’m actually amazed that celeste and emma is unique enough to get a user here, but apparently it is. In fact, celeste and emma brought more traffic here last month than slutty.

When I Googled celeste and emma, my blog didn’t come up until the second page of results. Could this new search string be the result of people having met Emma and me together at the LSA Institute? That seems a bit strange. I mean, how often do you meet two people together and then go home and Google them? I don’t do that.

Strange.

But I’m back in, so hooray for that. I have a new laptop now, but a lot of passwords and things I forgot and had to reset. I still don’t have access to all my e-mail servers, but yes. Working that out bit by bit.

I’m still desperately trying to recover and organize data from my old hard drive. Good news: nothing important lost. More good news: my new laptop is shiny. Strange news: I’ve gone Mac.

I know I’ve complained about Mac in the past. And I don’t intend to cut that out. But I’ll be working on a Mac desktop at Rochester and it’ll be easiest to just have everything in one format, so that’s how I went. Thanks to the Mac people in my life who held my hand while I came to the realization that this was the way to go.
